Amy Miller currently serves as Deputy City Administrator – Administration & Enterprises, overseeing all of the City’s business enterprise units, including Port of Pensacola, Pensacola International Airport, the City’s natural gas utility Pensacola Energy, Park Pensacola parking management, Sanitation Services & Fleet Management, and the Saenger Theatre. She previously served the City as Port Director from 2013 to 2021.

An Ohio native, Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

Following a successful career in print journalism that took her from Ohio to California and, finally, Louisiana, she entered the seaport industry in 1993. She worked in communications and business development at the ports of South Louisiana and Gulfport, Mississippi, before joining Port of Pensacola in 2002, where she worked her way up through the ranks to eventually become the first woman port director in Pensacola’s history. Amy is a mentor in the University of West Florida’s Executive Mentor Program and Board Chair of the United Way of West Florida.
