Cobb Resource Center is open five days a week and is host to a wide variety of activities and programs for all ages.  Cobb Resource Center is surrounded by a playground, covered shelter and park.


Youth Programs



Play School
A fun learning environment which offers a beginner curriculum (alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, etc.). Kids will also play outside, eat lunch and take a nap.
Location: Arts & Crafts Room
Dates: Monday - Friday
Time: 7:30am - 1:30pm
Ages: 3 - 4

After School Program
A safe after-school environment that includes homework time, arts & crafts, organized games and a healthy snack. 
Days: Monday - Friday 
Time: 2:00 - 6:00pm
Ages: 5 - 12
Cost: $30 per month city / $37 non city

Hungry for Justice Kids Cooking Classes
Kids learn to make healthy meals and snacks then take the ingredients home to make a meal for their family! Sponsored by the AWKO Justice Foundation and community partners. 
Days: 1st Friday of each month
Time: 4:30 - 6:30pm 
Ages: All kids welcome!
Cost: Free

Let's Get Physical
Kids will spend 30 minutes, twice a week, walking, jumping and dancing. This is a fun activity will exercise the kids without focusing on exercise.
Days: Tuesday, Thursday
Time: 3:00 – 3:30pm
Ages: 5 - 12

Drama Club
For youth interested in dancing, singing and acting. We put on shows 3 times a year in our gym area showcasing what the children have learned. 
Days: Monday, Wednesday
Time: 3:30 – 4:30pm

Summer Camps
Field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, games and sports are just a few of the activities campers will enjoy every week!
Days: Monday - Friday
Time: 7:00AM – 6:00PM
Ages: 5 - 12
Cost: $51 per week City resident/ $59 per week non-resident
Scholarship applications accepted through May. Forms available in office. Save up to 10% on Summer Camp!! savings acquired through online WebTrac registration through April 30.


Youth Sports



Tennis-4-Everyone
Coach Paris teaches Cobb youth the fundamentals of tennis during the After School program. Kids learn how to hold a racket, hitting the tennis ball, back swing and so much more.

Time: 3:30 – 4:30
Ages: 5 – 11

Developmental Baseball & T-Ball
The Developmental Baseball Program is a fresh approach to baseball for ages 4-9 with the purpose of providing healthy activity, coaching and mentoring through the introduction of baseball. Youth will learn fielding, catching, throwing, hitting and sportsmanship. Cobb youth will play in the city league and showcase their skills. Come out and register early, space is limited.
Registration: March 1 - April 2
Season dates: April 7 - May 12, 2018
Ages: 4 - 7 T-Ball, Ages 8 - 9 Coach Pitch

Senior Adult Programs



Seniors Program
A social gathering for seniors who enjoy exercising, playing bingo, listening to oldies, taking shopping trips to Destin, eating at restaurants, going to casino or just chatting it up with other members of the group.
Location: Multi-purpose room

Times: 7:00am – 12:00pm
Age: 50+
Cost: $5/month

Senior Lunch Program
A healthy lunch for Seniors provided by Council on Aging. Must be registered.
Location: Multi-purpose room
Days: Monday – Friday
Times: 11:00am – 12:00pm
Ages: 55+

Senior Exercise
A short but hearty exercise for Seniors usually led by a DVD but occasionally taught by a seasoned professional.
Location: Gym

Vera's Healthy Juicing
Days: Mondays
Time: 10am
Ages: 50+
Ms. Vera shows how to prepare a healthy mix of vegetables or fruit blended into a
liquid mix of goodness.

Senior Casino Trips
Every 3rd Thursday a month, Cobb Senior's enjoy a comfortable ride to Biloxi to take in the sites, eat at the buffet and even play the slots. Spots are taken up fast so register early (non-members).

Adult Programs



Parent Cafe
Hosted by 90 Works Healthy Families and CRIB Pensacola, Parent Café is a parent support group for families to share experiences.  Different topics are covered each month and activities are available for children.  Healthy snacks will be provided at each event.  Parent Café falls on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM.  For more information, please contact 1-855-90works.

CRIB
CRIB (Community Resources Improving Births) Pensacola offers educational workshops and classes to prepare, inform, and educate families.  Pregnant women, mothers, fathers and families are encouraged to attend. CRIB classes are taught by experts in their field. CRIB class subjects range from baby care, financial and homebuyer resources, breastfeeding, what to expect when you are pregnant, nutrition and more. Classes are hosted at various times and days throughout the month. The whole family is welcomed and encouraged to attend any CRIB event. Healthy snacks and door prizes will be provided. Weight & Cardio Room
Our weight and cardio room is open to the public during normal operating hours.
cost: $1 per day or $10 a month, Free for those over 50 years. Users 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult, no users under 14.
