Severe weather potential Saturday night into Sunday
The National Weather Service (NWS) is tracking severe storms that could affect the Pensacola area Saturday night into Sunday morning.
A line of potentially severe storms is expected to move eastward through the Pensacola area, which could produce hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.
At this time, the storms are projected to approach the area Saturday evening and should not impact the grand opening of the Pensacola Ferry Landing scheduled on Saturday at 10 a.m. City officials are monitoring the weather and will aim to take necessary precautions.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to be mindful of impending weather forecasts and access to health and safety services. If you see a storm drain that appears to be obstructed, please remove the obstruction. Please have an emergency plan in place and multiple ways to receive warning information.
