Pensacola Mayor’s Cup Golf Classic Set for October 5th

Join Mayor Ashton Hayward and the City of Pensacola for the 10th Annual Pensacola Mayor’s Cup Golf Classic on October 5, 2018 at Osceola Golf Course. This will be Mayor Ashton Hayward's 8th and final year as host of this annual golf tournament which raises funds for The First Tee of Northwest Florida and showcases the city's golf course.

The annual Mayor’s Cup event is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM and is open to all players. The cost is $85 per individual or $325 per foursome if you register by the early bird deadline of September 21, 2018. Fees increase to $95 per individual and $350 per foursome afterwards. Registration includes free beverages and food, a tournament shirt, gift bag, and awards ceremonies.

“It has truly been an honor and a privilege each year to take part in the Mayor’s Cup,” said Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward. “We are excited to be out on that beautiful golf course at Osceola and partner with The First Tee of Northwest Florida. If you are a golfer then come and join us and help The First Tee as they continue to impact lives of young people here in our community.”

The First Tee is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to positively impact the lives of young people through the game of golf. The mission is based on “The Nine Core Values:” honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment. Over the past 15 years the Northwest Florida Chapter has established programs at 15 area golf courses and area schools throughout Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties.

“As we reach the 10 year mark for the Mayor’s Cup, we just can’t thank Mayor Hayward enough for his support and dedication to growing this event and supporting our participants over the last eight years” said The First Tee of Northwest Florida Executive Director Marty Stanovich  We remain proud of our long affiliation with the City of Pensacola--we do more combined days of programming, adult and junior tournaments at Osceola Golf Course than any of the other 14 programming sites within our Chapter, and we look forward to many more years of this great partnership.”

Participants can find registration information online at thefirstteenwflorida.org. Sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from $100 (tee signs) up to $1,500. For more information, interested parties can contact The First Tee of Northwest Florida at (850) 456-7010.
