Street resurfacing and natural gas system improvements
Work on the City of Pensacola’s $30 million street resurfacing and natural gas system improvements program will begin Tuesday, Feb. 21. Street resurfacing crews will be working on the west side of the city to initiate a three-year effort that will ultimately repave more than 1800 blocks of city streets.
Next month work crews will begin replacing more than 46 miles of aging natural gas lines with new, corrosion-free polyethylene pipe.
Street resurfacing and natural gas line replacement work will take place primarily during daytime hours. Property owners and tenants will be notified in advance of work beginning in their area. It will be important that they follow instructions to remove vehicles parked on the street so that the construction activities can proceed.
All planned work is weather dependent and may be postponed or otherwise re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.
More information on the street resurfacing program is available by calling (850) 380-9188.
