There’s no place like home...

Mayor

It’s where we are sheltered, find our peace, start our day, plan our future, raise our children and keep all that is precious to us. As Pensacola and the rest of the country rebound from the recession and housing crisis, some segments of our community are still struggling in the wake of the recovery. Click the link below to read my viewpoint on how we will address these concerns. ~ Mayor Ashton Hayward

Congratulations to our Community Maritime Park!

Our Community Maritime Park won the Urban Land Institute Award of Excellence in the Open Space category. Our park is the first ever winner from Northwest Florida and Pensacola.

Your Opinion Matters

Mayor

One of the values I focus on as mayor is being responsive to the ideas, opinions, and needs of City residents. As a result, the Haas Center is conducting a community survey to find out what is important to the residents of Pensacola.

The survey will ask you about the health of our neighborhoods, how satisfied you are with city services and which ones are important to you, and how you like to learn about what is going on in the community. It should take about 15 minutes to complete. To learn more click here.

Innovation Awards to Showcase Northwest Florida Ingenuity, Entrepreneurship

Innovation Awards
With companies vying for $200,000 in cash and other consulting and technical services, Florida’s most lucrative business competition contest is back, bigger and better than ever.

This time, the Innovation Awards is also providing more opportunities for individuals to win by tailoring separate prize categories for community college or university students, as well as veteran-owned businesses. The competition also has categories for pre- and post-revenue businesses.

Innovation Coast and the Office of Economic Development and Engagement at the University of West Florida are funding the 2017 Innovation Awards as part of their commitment to fostering economic opportunity throughout the region. OEDE is providing $150,000 to fund the first and second prizes in the post-revenue category, while Innovation Coast and other sponsors will be funding at least $50,000 for prizes in other categories. Too many people are affected by cancer. That's why the City of Pensacola has joined Relay For Life to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Money raised from these events can make a HUGE impact on cancer research.

This passionate community of people have one common goal: to help save lives from cancer. Every donation goes toward the American Cancer Society's mission to celebrate life and save lives. It doesn't take much to make a big difference. Will you help?
