City of Pensacola Congratulates Summer Youth Intern Program Participants

The City of Pensacola recognized summer interns at a luncheon and awards ceremony on Friday, July 29, marking the conclusion of the 2022 City of Pensacola Summer Youth Intern Program.

Interns spent eight weeks working with a specific city department to promote career development and gain real-world job experience. The program not only allowed interns to observe city employees in the work environment, but actively encouraged interns to engage and participate in various projects and programs.

Working up to 20 hours a week, interns were granted an exclusive hands-on opportunity to aid the city departments they were selected for over the summer. Through the program, applicants gained meaningful work experience that will help them both in furthering their education and upon entering the work force.

“We’re all very excited here at the City of Pensacola to be able to give such a unique opportunity to this talented group of young people,” Mayor Grover Robinson said. “These interns are the future leaders of our community, and I hope they can look back on their time spent with us and realize that it helped prepare them for their career in a big way.”

The City of Pensacola would like to congratulate the following student participants for their work during the 2022 Summer Youth Intern Program:
