Residents Encouraged to Monitor Risk of Localized Flooding

Escambia County residents are encouraged to monitor potential localized flooding with the highest potential near the coast.

The National Weather Service in Mobile projects the threat of localized flooding will begin Wednesday, July 13, with the threat increasing through the latter half of the week.

"Escambia County has the potential for localized flooding over the next couple of days," said Escambia County Emergency Manager Travis Tompkins. "The ground is saturated and there is more rain in the forecast. Emergency Management encourages residents to stay safe when driving and turn around if you come across a flooded roadway."

For more information, monitor the local media and legitimate online and social media sources like Escambia County Emergency Management, US National Weather Service Mobile, and Florida SERT.
