Pensacola Named One of America’s Top 100 Best Cities
Pensacola has made the top 100 list in the 2022 America's Best Cities Report, ranking among many of the nation's most well-known metropolitan cities. The smallest city on the list, Pensacola ranked 81st in the report, which was conducted by Resonance Consultancy. Using consumer research and market analysis, the report evaluates cities in six categories: place, product, programming, people, prosperity and promotion.

City of Pensacola Conducting Citywide Urban Forest Inventory
With a goal of better understanding and managing Pensacola’s urban forest, the city is conducting an Urban Forest Inventory of trees on city property throughout Pensacola. City consultant Geosyntec will be identifying tree species, measuring tree diameters, and using GPS equipment to document tree locations to inventory local protected and heritage trees. The information gathered through the inventory will help the City of Pensacola identify existing tree needs and plan for future tree planting, which will help the city maintain and foster a healthy urban forest for generations to come.

City of Pensacola Employees Donate 1,448 Pounds of Food During ‘Donut Strike 4 Manna’
City of Pensacola employees teamed up during this year's Donut Strike 4 Manna food drive to collect 1,448 pounds of food for families and individuals in need in our community. During the annual Donut Strike, local first responders including Pensacola Police Department and Pensacola Fire Department vowed to stay away from donuts to support Manna Food Pantries. This year’s campaign raised 32,694 meals worth of donations, all of which will go to those in need within the local community.

June 2022 Mayor's Neighborhood Cleanup Results

The June Mayor's Neighborhood Cleanup collected over 44 tons (88,300 pounds) of bulk waste, along with 459 tires and 381 gallons of paint. The cleanup took place on Saturday, June 25 with 17 loads picked up from the Sanders Beach, Bayou Grove and West Garden District neighborhoods. Read more in the city's press release.

Adrian Stills Selected as City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Director

The City of Pensacola selected former Osceola Golf Course manager, Adrian Stills, as the new City Parks and Recreation Director. In his new position, Stills will oversee 11 community resource centers, 94 parks, two pools, Osceola Golf Course, Roger Scott Tennis Center, and multiple athletic complexes and recreational facilities within the City of Pensacola. Citizens Academy 2022 Comes to an End
The City of Pensacola recently recognized graduates from the 2022 Pensacola Citizens Academy, marking the end of a nine-week interactive course hosted by the city. Participants spent nine weeks learning about the innerworkings of local government, participating in site visits, field demonstrations and department tours, and interacting with City of Pensacola employees. New York Yacht Club American Magic Welcomed Back to Port of Pensacola
The City of Pensacola welcomed American Magic and the team’s AC75 racing yacht, PATRIOT, back to the Port of Pensacola for a third winter of training on the Gulf Coast. American Magic will spend the summer building out the team’s base, then train in Pensacola this winter before relocating to Barcelona for the final push into the 37th America's Cup.

Mayor Robinson and Councilwoman Brahier to Host District 1 Town Hall Meeting July 14
Mayor Grover Robinson and District 1 Councilwoman Jennifer Brahier will host a District 1 Town Hall Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14 at Vickrey Resource Center, located at 2130 Summit Blvd. in Pensacola. All members of the community are encouraged to attend and provide input. The meeting will also be live streamed on Facebook at Facebook.com/PensacolaMayor.
