City of Pensacola Seeking Applicants for Summer Youth Intern Program
The City of Pensacola is offering internship opportunities for eligible youth ages 16-24 through the City of Pensacola Summer Youth Intern Program. Internships are available in a variety of city departments, and promote career development while providing paid on-the-job work experience.
The Summer Youth Intern Program will run Friday, June 3 through Friday, July 29. Interns may work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week and will be paid $12 per hour. Applications are due Friday, May 20 at 4 p.m.

Kiwanis Dog Park Grand Opening
The City of Pensacola celebrated the grand opening of Kiwanis Dog Park in April. The new dog park provides additional recreational opportunities and enhanced park features for both pets and residents, with the installation of new fencing, playground structures, picnic tables, agility courses for small and large dogs, and more.

Nearly 200 Trees Planted so far through City's Tree Refurbishment Plan

The City of Pensacola's Parks and Recreation Department has planted approximately 190 of 300 trees as part of the City of Pensacola Tree Refurbishment Plan, with a goal of replacing the trees lost in city parks during Hurricane Sally. This plan will help to replenish Pensacola's tree canopy across all seven City Council districts for future generations.

April 2022 Mayor's Neighborhood Cleanup Results

The April Mayor's Neighborhood Cleanup collected over 48 tons (97,600 pounds) of bulk waste, along with 264 tires and 544 gallons of paint. The cleanup took place on Saturday, April 30 with 22 loads picked up from the North Hill area and portions of surrounding neighborhoods. Read more in the city's press release.

Join the City of Pensacola for a Bike to Work Day event on Friday, May 20 from 8 - 11 a.m. A bike ride from Dunwoody Park to City Hall will begin at 8 a.m., followed by food, fun and festivities on the City Hall lawn, 222 W. Main St.

Pensacola Neighborhood Challenge Grant Program Accepting Applications
The City of Pensacola is now accepting applications for the summer cycle of the Fiscal Year 2022 Pensacola Neighborhood Challenge Grant Program, which is a matching grant program that provides City of Pensacola neighborhood associations with funding to complete neighborhood improvement projects. Applications for the program will be available on the City of Pensacola website during the grant application cycle, which is open through 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31.
