Residents Encouraged to Monitor Potential Severe Weather March 22

Escambia County residents are encouraged to monitor potential severe weather with the enhanced risk of damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, high surf and dangerous rip currents on Tuesday, March 22.

The National Weather Service in Mobile projects wind speeds capable of damaging trees, crops, power lines and structures. Currently, Escambia County is at a slight risk for severe weather, which is expected to arrive late Tuesday afternoon and last until early Wednesday morning. 

“Escambia County could face severe weather beginning Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday," said Public Safety Director Eric Gilmore. 'We encourage our residents to remain weather aware as we continue to monitor the storm."
