Residents Encouraged to Monitor Potential Severe Weather


Escambia County residents are encouraged to monitor potential severe weather with the enhanced risk of damaging winds, tornadoes and large hail on Friday, March 18.

The National Weather Service in Mobile projects storms to enter Escambia County on Friday around 6 a.m. and continue into late Friday afternoon. 

“We are continuing to monitor the development of this storm," said Public Safety Director Eric Gilmore. "As we continue to learn more, we want to encourage residents to remain weather aware.”

For more information, monitor the local media and legitimate online and social media sources like Escambia County Emergency Management, US National Weather Service Mobile, and Florida SERT.
