9th Avenue Manhole Rehabilitation Project Postponed to Jan. 23

Due to weather delays, construction of the 9^th Avenue Manhole Rehabilitation Project originally scheduled to begin today, Thursday, Jan. 21, will begin Saturday, Jan. 23. The project will repair and rehabilitate two stormwater manholes located near the intersection of 9^th Avenue and Colfax Street.

Drivers will encounter a temporary lane shift in the area during construction, but both northbound and southbound lanes will remain open to traffic. Construction is expected to take approximately two working days to complete, weather permitting. 

The project is being completed to repair existing stormwater mahholes that are several decades old and are in significant disrepair.

A city construction inspector will be monitoring the contractor and project progress daily. During construction, the contractor will be required to implement all necessary safety precautions onsite.
