CRA Seeking Public Input on East Garden District Streetscape Project

The City of Pensacola Community Redevelopment Agency is offering a public comment period for the East Garden District Streetscape Project starting Tuesday, Oct. 6. The public is invited to submit comments through 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 on the City of Pensacola website.

The East Garden District Streetscape project includes a road diet and streetscape improvements to Jefferson Street from Garden Street to Chase Street. The project features underground utilities, decorative sidewalk improvements, traffic calming, lighting, street trees and landscaping.

The CRA will hold a special meeting on Monday, Oct. 19 to discuss approval of the preliminary plans and agreement for the East Garden District Streetscape Project. The project will be brought to City Council to consider ratification on Thursday, Oct. 22.
