Updated Curfew Hours for Escambia County,
City of Pensacola
The curfew in Escambia County due to Hurricane Sally has been extended through Sunday, Sept. 20, with new curfew hours of 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. This curfew includes the City of Pensacola.
The curfew will be in effect from 12:01 a.m. until 6 a.m. tonight, Saturday, Sept. 19, and tomorrow night, Sunday, Sept. 20. The curfew is set to expire at 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, but it may be extended if deemed necessary by law enforcement.
Law enforcement will have roadblocks in place at some major roadways. The City of Pensacola is relying on voluntary compliance, and residents will be expected to follow the curfew.
Exceptions:
- Businesses and their employees who sell any goods, services, materials, merchandise, supplies, equipment, resources, or other articles of commerce including, without limitation, food, water, ice, chemicals, petroleum products and lumber necessary for consumption as part of or as a direct result of the emergency.
- Emergency responders including employees of federal, state, county and municipal agencies and health care workers assigned to work as a direct result of the emergency.
- Anyone who can demonstrate they are en route to fly on or work on a commercial flight departing from a municipal airport.
- Employees or agency volunteer of non-governmental organizations officially participating in the emergency response effort assigned to work as a direct result of this emergency.
