Bayou Chico Bridge Street Light Replacement to Begin May 13

The City of Pensacola will begin replacement of the street light fixtures on the city side (east side) of the Bayou Chico Bridge on Wednesday, May 13. The work involves replacement of the existing light fixtures with LED fixtures as a substantial cost saving measure to the city. The bridge is located on Barrancas Avenue and extends into the Pace Boulevard and Barrancas Avenue intersection.

One lane will be briefly closed at a time as light fixtures are being replaced. The project is expected to take approximately two days to complete, weather permitting, and every effort will be made to promote public safety and minimize the impact to motorists during this time.
