Changes to City Council Meeting Process for Thursday, March 26


The regular City Council meeting will take place as scheduled on Thursday, March 26 at 5:30 p.m. However, to limit the potential spread of COVID-19, members of the public wishing to attend or participate in the meeting may only do so via video live stream or telephone. 

This change in format is consistent with Executive Order 20-69 issued by Gov. Ron DeSantis and has been adopted at the direction of Council President Jewel Cannada-Wynn in consultation with the City Attorney. 

The meeting agenda and supporting documents are available on the City of Pensacola's website.

To provide input:

Note: The online form will be available beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. 
  • To speak during Leroy Boyd Public Forum:
    • Visit cityofpensacola.com/ccinput.
    • Fill out the online form between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26.
    • Select Leroy Boyd Public Forum to speak on a topic not on the agenda.
    • Important: Members of the public who wish to speak during the Leroy Boyd Public Forum must provide a phone number where they can be reached during the City Council meeting.
    • Those who filled out a speaker request form will be called at the phone number provided when it is time to address the City Council. If a city staff member cannot reach the requester at the phone number provided, they will lose the opportunity to speak. 
    • Speakers will be limited to 3 minutes as usual, unless otherwise determined by City Council or the City Council President. 
  • To submit a comment on an agenda item:
    • Visit cityofpensacola.com/ccinput.
    • Fill out the online form beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 until that agenda item has been voted upon.
    • Select Agenda Item to submit a comment or question about an item on the agenda.
    • City Council staff will read the comment or question into the official record during the City Council meeting. 
City Council members and essential City of Pensacola personnel will attend the meeting in person, but will spread out to ensure there is adequate room for social distancing according to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 

The City Council meeting will take place in Council Chambers, located on the first floor of City Hall.
