City's Draft Active Transportation Plan Available for Review and Comment
The City of Pensacola's Draft Active Transportation Plan is now available for review and comment. The draft ATP sought the public's input to help develop a forward-thinking plan on walking, biking and other human-powered modes of getting around the Pensacola community. After multiple opportunities for the public to engage, a working draft is now available.
In October, the city hosted two mobility fairs with interactive forums that gathered input from the community on their preferences related to multimodal transportation, which helped identify and set priorities for future infrastructure investments like sidewalks and bike lanes. In addition to the mobility fairs, residents were encouraged to complete an online project survey that featured interactive options to provide input from October through December.
The city also hosted an ATP Pop-Up event on Monday, June 26 to kick off the final stage of public engagement for the ATP, providing an opportunity for the public to learn more and view draft components of the plan.
The public is encouraged to review the draft ATP and provide their feedback by Wednesday, July 12 via the comment form on the project webpage: www.cityofpensacola.com/activetransportationplan.
