City of Pensacola Recycling Temporarily Limited to Cardboard Only Starting April 14

Due to a staffing shortage at the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority's Materials Recycling Facility, recycling for City of Pensacola Sanitation customers is temporarily limited to cardboard only beginning Friday, April 14.

City of Pensacola Sanitation Services Department uses ECUA's recycling facility to process recyclable materials from City Sanitation customers. However, the facility is not accepting mixed recyclables for processing for approximately four weeks.

Tan recycling cans will still be collected, but materials other than cardboard will not be recycled. In the meantime, customers are urged to maintain positive recycling habits. ECUA is working as quickly as possible to bring the facility back into operation.

For more information, please see ECUA's news release.

Please stay tuned to the City of Pensacola's website and Facebook page for updates.
