City to Host Arbor Day Recognition and Tree Giveaway Jan. 23
The City of Pensacola will host a ceremony and tree giveaway in recognition of Florida Arbor Day on Monday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. at City Hall, located at 222 W. Main St.
Mayor D.C. Reeves will read a proclamation honoring Florida Arbor Day, and there will be a drawing to give away three 15-gallon trees (a Live Oak, Magnolia Little Gem, and a Bosque Elm) at the event. City of Pensacola residents can enter the tree giveaway drawing by completing the
online form. Participants do not have to be present at the event to win.
Florida's Arbor Day takes place in January rather than in conjunction with National Arbor Day in April, due to Florida's warmer climate.
The City of Pensacola is proud to be recognized as a Tree City USA Community by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management.
