Learn About Sea Level Rise at Community RISE Connection Dialogue May 3
Join the City of Pensacola for a free Community RISE (Resilience in Sea-Level Rise Education) dinner co-hosted with UF|IFAS and 350 Pensacola at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at the Bayview Community Center, 2000 E. Lloyd St.
At the Community RISE dinner, PLACE:SLR will introduce residents to the basics of sea level rise and discuss how communities can take action to prepare for and mitigate flooding impacts. During this informal dialogue, residents will have the chance to ask questions and discuss local action with their community leaders.

PLACE:SLR is a partnership between Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium, Florida Sea Grant, NOAA Sea Grant and the Mississippi State University Extension focused on enhancing sea-level rise resilience in the northern Gulf of Mexico. The primary mission of this program is to research sea-level rise and communicate risk to facilitate resilience and mitigation efforts at local and community levels.
