klagarde@cityofpensacola.comNorthern Portion of Admiral Mason Park Temporarily Closed for Stormwater Construction
The northern portion of Admiral Mason Park, along with a section of East Romana Street between 9th and 10th Avenue, will be closed beginning Monday, Oct. 18 for installation of an underground stormwater pipe. Construction is expected to take approximately five weeks, weather permitting.
A portion of the walking trail around the pond at Admiral Mason Park will be closed during construction. Veterans Memorial Park, which is located adjacent to Admiral Mason Park, will remain open.
Visitors will still be able to access the memorials at Veterans Memorial Park, although access to some areas of the park may be temporarily restricted during construction. The project will include temporary removal of landscaping, trees and other aesthetic items near the pond. The landscaping and aesthetic features at the park will be restored once construction is completed.
City of Pensacola inspectors will be monitoring construction for the duration of the project. For questions about this project, please contact City of Pensacola Public Works and Facilities at 850-435-1645.
Admiral Mason Park is located at 200 S. 9th Avenue in Pensacola.
