City to Host Play Pensacola Easter Hop Stop April 3
The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Easter celebration, the Play Pensacola Easter Hop Stop, at Community Maritime Park on Saturday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or while supplies last. Families are invited to bring children ages 2 to 12 to participate in the drive-thru-only event that will feature the Easter Bunny and the opportunity to pick up a free grab bag with candy eggs and prizes. Participants will have the chance to win a grand prize basket if a "Golden Egg" or "Whataburger Orange Egg" is found inside of their grab bag.
Due to limited supplies, this event will be limited to one grab bag per child. Children must be present to receive their grab bag.
Pensacola Police officers will be on site to help guide traffic during the event. Parking spaces inside of Community Maritime Park located on Museum Lane will close on Friday, April 2 at 5 p.m. to minimize traffic congestion during the event.
Participants must enter Community Maritime Park from the South De Villiers Street entrance on the day of the event. There will be four stops throughout the event site where participants will be guided to stop and pick up a grab bag. Participants must drive down Museum Lane through the roundabout and may exit at South Reus Street and South Spring Street exits.
A traffic flow map is available on the event website to help guide participants.
The Play Pensacola Easter Hop Stop is a free community event sponsored by Cox Communications, MyPensacola Credit Union and Whataburger.
Community Maritime Park is located at 301 W. Main St. in Pensacola.
