Free Yoga Classes in Community Maritime Park
Resume Sunday, Sept. 6
Note: The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department is resuming this monthly event after temporarily pausing due to COVID-19 cancellations.
The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Breathe Yoga and Wellness Center to offer free yoga classes to citizens. The one-hour, outdoor yoga classes are scheduled to resume on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. in Community Maritime Park. Classes are held on the first Sunday of every month and are open to all ages and levels of experience.
Certified instructors from Breathe Yoga and Wellness Center will provide instruction. Participants must bring their own mat and any other accessories they would like to use. Participants are asked to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated, as water will not be provided until further notice.
To adhere to CDC Guidelines, social distancing measures will be in place. Participants shall maintain at least 6 feet distance from others. Class size will be capped at 50 participants. To best accommodate, students will be allowed to attend on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early and consider protocols as changes are implemented during the pandemic.
Classes are generally held at 10 a.m., however August and September classes will begin at 9 a.m. in order to take advantage of the morning's cooler temperatures.

Community Maritime Park is located at 301 W. Main St. in Pensacola. Yoga classes will take place in front of the amphitheater stage. The amphitheater stage in Community Maritime Park is located at the south side of the park behind the Blue Wahoos Stadium.
