Inspection, Engineering and Planning Services Walk-In Hours Changing Feb. 3

The City of Pensacola's Inspection Services, Engineering Services and Planning Services are changing their walk-in hours for permitting in order to provide better customer service for walk-in customers and allow staff adequate time to complete online permits.

The changes will go into effect Monday, Feb. 3, with new hours as follows:

Inspection Services: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Engineering Services: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Planning Services: 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Ultimately, reducing walk-in hours will allow the services teams to dedicate their full permitting staff to customers during those hours. With an increasing demand for online permits, these changes will also allow the service team clerks to focus on processing online permits during the remaining two hours of operation.

Please be patient as the teams experiment with these new hours. The hours are subject to change or become permanent depending on their success for City of Pensacola customers.

Customers needing to see a staff member regarding matters other than obtaining a permit will need to continue to do so by appointment.
