Circuit Court Judge J. Scott Duncan sentenced a Pensacola man to 27 years in state prison on Thursday after he was convicted of trafficking in heroin and possession of drug equipment.
The man – Tristan Fairley, 33 – was arrested October 6, 2016, after undercover officers with the Vice and Narcotics Unit at the Pensacola Police Department served a search warrant at his home in the 1000 block of North M Street, said Sgt. Martez Lawrence.
During the search warrant, officers seized approximately $14,000 worth of heroin and more than $4,500 in cash. An investigation developed Fairley as a suspect and led officers to get the search warrant for the residence.
Lawrence said officers began the investigation approximately a month before Fairley was arrested after receiving information that he was selling heroin.
Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Rogers prosecuted the case, Lawrence said.
