It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and as holiday travelers prepare for their upcoming flights, this means gifts and presents will be flying too! Some passengers worry or question if their carefully wrapped gifts might get torn while going through the security scanner or unwrapped completely in order to get through security. Passengers can leave that worry behind and travel with ease this holiday season as complimentary gift wrapping returns to Pensacola International Airport for the second year.
“We decided to offer complimentary gift wrapping last year simply to help our passengers traveling during the busy holiday season,” said Airport Director DanFlynn. “Passengers seemed very appreciative and thought it was a great idea so we are very excited to bring this complimentary service back in hopes that it spreads a little holiday cheer to our traveling guests again this Christmas season.”
The complimentary gift wrapping station will be staffed by USO NorthwestFlorida volunteers and conveniently located just past the security checkpoint on the sterile side of the concourse.
Complimentary gift wrapping at Pensacola International Airport will be available Tuesday, December 20 through Friday, December 23, from 8 am to 5 pm.All gift wrapping donations benefit USO Northwest Florida.
The Transportation Security Administration strongly encourages passengers to travel with unwrapped gifts to avoid the possibilities of having to unwrap items that require additional screening. TSA traveling tips can be found at www.tsa.gov/travel/travel-tips.
