[ARCHIVED] Blue Angels homecoming to include #welcomehomeblues hashtag project and Instameet

Welcome Home Blue Angels and Instameet

The City of Pensacola is joining forces with Naval Air Station Pensacola and the National Naval Aviation Museum to celebrate the Blue Angels homecoming with a weekend hashtag project and Instameet.

Residents from all over the area will come together to take photographs during the 2015 NAS Pensacola Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show which will be held on November 6 & 7, 2015. The Instameet will be on Saturday, November 7, and will begin at 1:00 pm. Participants will gather near the general admission area. The Instameet will allow Instagram users to gather, exchange photography advice, and produce content together to share on their own Instagram accounts. We are also encouraging residents to use the hashtag #welcomehomeblues for the entire weekend to show our support. Instagram users that cannot attend the Instameet can still participate via social media using the hashtag #welcomehomeblues throughout the weekend.

Join us along with Naval Air Station Pensacola and the National Naval Aviation Museum on November 6 & 7th to celebrate our Blue Angels coming home. There will be day performances on Friday and Saturday. Gates open at 8 am both days. Residents are invited to watch the spectacular Friday Night Air Show, complete with night time aircraft and performers capped off by the largest fireworks display in the Pensacola area.

For more information on the event residents can visit the National Naval Aviation Museum’s Facebook event page: bit.ly/welcomehomeblues. Residents are also encouraged to follow the official Instagram accounts of the City and the National Naval Aviation Museum: @CityofPensacola, @navalaviationmuseum.
