[ARCHIVED] Road closures and parking for Slide the City

This Saturday, May 30, Slide the City will be bringing its’ 1000ft slip-and-slide to downtown Pensacola. Due to the event there will be several road closures.

The following roads will be closed beginning around 4 AM:

? North Palafox Street northbound and southbound between Jackson Street and Gregory Street
? North Palafox Street northbound between Gregory Street and Chase Street
? Jackson Street between North Baylen Street and North Guillemard Street
? La Rua Street between North Baylen Street and North Guillemard Street
? Belmont Street between North Baylen Street and North Guillemard Street
? Wright Street between North Baylen Street and North Guillemard Street
? Gregory Street between North Baylen Street and North Guillemard Street

The Palafox Market will remain open despite these road closures. Parking for the event will be available at the Pensacola Bay Center, First Baptist Church, AME Church, Regions Banks, First Presbyterian Church, and other locations along Tarragona Street, Spring Street, and Baylen Street.
