[ARCHIVED] May 29th Hill-Kelly Drive-In Movie will be held at CMP Amphitheater

The Hill-Kelly Drive-In Movie event for May 29th will be moved to the amphitheater due to wet field conditions. Be sure to bring a blanket or chair to watch the movie as there will be lawn seating only for this showing.

The Hill-Kelly Drive-In Movie Series presented by Cox Communications returns to Community Maritime Park Friday night with a free movie.

Event organizers want to make the public aware of a slight change of venue for the first movie of the season. “Due to wet field conditions we are relocating the movie from the exhibition field to the amphitheater. We want to give the Pensacola community the best event we possibly can and this solution should prevent our guests from having to sit on wet or muddy grass as well as help prevent damage to the turf at the park,” said Justin Paul, Program Manager for the CMP.

This will be a lawn seating only event, so be sure to bring your blankets and chairs to spread out on the amphitheater lawn and watch the movie underneath the stars. The movie will begin at 8:15pm and parking begins at 6pm. Please follow the directions of parking staff and volunteers to ensure minimal damage to field areas still used for parking. Concessions will be available but picnic baskets are always welcome. No pets or glass containers please.

This summer’s Drive-In Movies are sponsored by Hill-Kelly Dodge, Cox Communications, Cat Country 98.7, Pensacola Government Federal Credit Union, City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation, and the Community Maritime Park. This free summer movie series brings the nostalgia of a drive-in movie experience to downtown Pensacola. Movies are family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
