Renovations have been completed and new food and beverage concessions are open for business in the pre-security area at Pensacola International Airport, including Einstein Bros. Bagels and Pensacola Beach House.
“We’re excited to provide travelers with more food and beverage options at Pensacola International Airport,” said Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward. “I’m confident that travelers will enjoy the new choices, fresh, modern look and great customer service of our new concessions, and I want to thank them for their patience during this transition.”
Einstein Bros. Bagels, a leader in the quick-casual segment of the restaurant industry, offers fresh-baked bagels and other baked goods, made-to-order sandwiches, crisp salads and gourmet coffee, while Pensacola Beach House offers beer, wine, and other cocktails, including local craft beers from Pensacola Bay Brewery and McGuire’s Irish Pub.
Renovation work continues in the post-security area, where another Einstein Bros. Bagels and Pensacola Beach House will join Freshens, a fast-casual “fresh food studio” featuring crepes, salads, and flatbreads along with fresh-blended smoothies and frozen yogurt. The three post-security restaurants are expected to open in early February. OHM Concessions Group, which manages the concessions, recently selected a local contractor to build the planned post-security Chick-Fil-A location, and construction is slated to begin next week.
The City’s contract with OHM Concessions Group is expected to generate more than $1 million in additional revenue for Pensacola International Airport. “Increasing non-airline revenue allows Pensacola International Airport to be more competitive,” said Mayor Hayward. “I’m committed to growing our airport and continuing to compete for new carriers, new routes, and a larger share of the future for Pensacola.”
