Check-Back Program
Fire crews routinely check on residents they know in their neighborhoods who have special needs (medical problems, mobility issues, etc.) and may need assistance from time to time with small household tasks. If you or someone you know could benefit from this service, call 850-436-5200.
Smoke Alarm Installation
A working smoke detector is one of the best investments you can make to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire. Smoke alarms and home escape planning are still a vital part of survival from a fire. Smoke alarms have been and still are the cornerstone of fire safety technology in the home. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford one.
The Pensacola Fire Department (PFD) installs smoke alarms at no charge for all city residents who need one. The occupant can contact the Fire Administration Office at 850-436-5200 to schedule a firetruck to come to the city resident.
Escambia County residents may call 850-595-HERO (4376) for smoke alarm installation assistance.
Home Safety Surveys
The most effective way to fight fires is to prevent them from happening in the first place. To that end, the Pensacola Fire Department offers free Home Safety Surveys to all Pensacola city residents. At your request, a PFD crew stationed in your neighborhood will survey your home for possible safety hazards and suggest ways to eliminate them. Home Safety Surveys are for consultation purposes only… no violation citations are issued. To schedule yours, call 850-436-5200.
Car Seat
The Pensacola Fire Department knows the importance of child safety while traveling in a vehicle. A trained certified technician will show you the proper way to install your car seat at Fire Station Number 1 and Number 6.
Please call our Fire Administration Office at 850-436-5200 and schedule an appointment. Appointments are taken for Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between the hours of 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
