Pensacola in Motion!
Welcome to the official webpage for the City’s Active Transportation Plan. The City of Pensacola has developed a plan to identify critical infrastructure investments that improve access, comfort, and safety for people walking, bicycling, and using other self-propelled modes of transportation.
The guiding principles of the ATP that will guide future mobility work include:
Put Safety First: Identify solutions that make moving around safer and more comfortable and push for zero fatalities.
Connect People and Places: Improve access and promote placemaking through meaningful projects that fill gaps in the network.
Access for All: Consider everyone’s needs when developing solutions.
Add Mobility Options: Focus on opportunities that are feasible, provide quality aesthetics, and build on past efforts.
City Council accepted the Active Transportation Plan and Appendices on August 17, 2023.

Public Survey Results Now Available.
The project provided an opportunity to provide public input from October - December of 2022. The survey offered a route drawing feature, pin drop options, and a fillable form. Survey results may be found here. Public input was also received in-person at various outreach events like the Palafox Farmers Market, Gallery Night, and Trunk or Treat. Two public workshops were held in geographically balanced areas.
