Windows 10 Users
The Windows 10 operating system uses the new Edge browser by default. This guide provides instructions for accessing Internet Explorer in Windows 10.
Internet Explorer 10 (& newer) Users
Some users have experienced issues with the FortisWeb search function when using Internet Explorer 10 or newer. If you are experiencing issues, you can resolve the issue by setting the City of Pensacola web site to run in compatibility mode. In Internet Explorer 10 / 11, select "Tools," then "Compatibility View Settings." In the box below, type in "cityofpensacola.com," then click Add.
Installing the FortisWeb Plugin
The first time you attempt to view a document, you will be prompted to install a plugin. Choose "open" to run the installation setup.
NOTICE: The Public Records (Fortis) System has been upgraded. This requires an updated ActiveX (FortisWeb) plugin to continue using this service. Choose "Yes" or "Install" to begin installation of the new plugin or manually install the plugin by following the instructions provided in the section entitled, "Installing the FortisWeb Plugin".
