Appeal A Citation

You can appeal a parking citation any time within 15 days of the citation issue date—after 15 days, appeals are automatically denied. Submit an appeal online or by mail (postmarked within 15 days of citation issue date). To appeal a citation by mail, follow the directions on your citation. Please note: An administrative fee of $15 is automatically assessed when an appeal is denied, regardless of the reason.

Please note: You will receive a $10 fine for your first citation. This amount will increase to $20 for the second citation, $40 for the third citation and every citation beyond that, within a 12-month period from the most recent citation, will incur a $100 fine. Fines double after 15 days if payment is not received or appeal has not been registered.

LATE FEES / SCOFFLAW

Parking citations must be paid within 15 calendar days from the issue date of the citation, or citation fee will double. License plates with three or more unpaid citations or an unpaid unauthorized handicap parking violation will be issued a scofflaw hold on the renewal of the license plate through the Department of Safety and Motor Vehicles.
