A multi-purpose storm water pond facility will be constructed on the grounds of the City of Pensacola’s Bill Gregory Park. The facility is designed to capture and treat storm water currently running into Bayou Chico. The innovative facility will include a twin-track storm water system that will remove debris prior to entering a 2.5 acre ecologically enhanced detention pond that will also serve as a wetland habitat for a variety of plants, birds and other aquatic animal species.
This project will fund the proposed Government Street Regional Stormwater Pond at Corrine Jones Park to capture and treat stormwater runoff from the 40 acres in downtown Pensacola.
The Gulf Islands National Seashore Ferry project, proposed by the National Park Service, would fund the purchase of up to three pedestrian visitor ferries for use between the City of Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, and the Fort Pickens area of Gulf Islands National Seashore in Florida.
