Outdoor Adventure Camps

Outdoor Survival Skills Camp

This will be an introductory day camp over spring break where participants learn basic outdoor survival skills. They will travel to various locations, learn water purification, shelter building, fire starting, fishing, orienteering/hiking, plant and animal identification, and Leave No Trace practices.

 Location: Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center

Dates: Monday-Thursday, March 18-22

*Friday 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. with a Family Fish Fry from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. 

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 

Fee: $130 city resident/ $140 non-residents

Beach Party Dance Camp

This week long camp will include learning several dance, making beach party crafts and costumes, and concludes with a mini recital and family party to display all that is learned. Please bring a snack each day.

Location: Gull Point Resource Center

Time: 9:00 a.m. – noon

Ages: 5- 15

Fee: $55 resident/ $65 non- residents

 Circus Dance Camp

One week camp will incorporate jazz, ballet, and tumbling to the circus theme. We will juggle tight rope, play games, arts and crafts, dress up and more! We will end the week with a mini performance! Please bring a snack each day.

Days: June 10- 14

Time: 9:00 a.m. – noon

Ages: 5- 13

Fee: $55 resident/ $65 non- residents

Princess Dance Camp

This week long camp will include learning several dancers, making princess party crafts and costumes, and concludes with a mini recital. Please bring a snack each day.

Spring Break Camp

Spring Break Camps will be held at Cobb, Fricker, Gull Point, Vickrey, and Woodland Heights Resource Centers.

 Summer Camp

Have fun this summer! Camp includes field trips, swimming, arts & crafts, games, and sports. These are just a few of the activities campers will enjoy every week! Don’t let your child miss out!  Summer Camp will be held at Cobb, Fricker, Gull Point, Vickrey, and Woodland Heights Resource Centers.

Galactic Child Yoga

Galactic Child Yoga classes focus on body awareness, breath, emotional intelligence, and essential connections.

Location: Vickrey Resource Center

Out after school programs offer activities which encourage children to be healthier and happier through active play, fitness and sports, dance and drama instruction, computer exploration and S.T.E.A.M activities.

After School Program

A fun, safe environment for kids with arts $ crafts, games, sports, computer lab, S.T.E.A.M activities, homework time, tutoring, and a healthy snack.

After School Adventures @ The Heights

This is an after school program that focuses on fun, games, quiet homework time, seasonal plays, lots of laughter, and organized activities.

Location: Woodland Heights Resource Center

Time: 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Ages: 5- 12

Fee: $10 weekly residents/ $12 weekly non- residents


Hungry for Justice Kids Cooking Classes

Kids learn to make healthy meals & snacks, and then take the ingredients home to make for their family. Sponsored by AWKO Justice Foundation & community partners!

Location: Cobb Resource Center

Day: 4th Friday/ each month

Ages: 6- up

Play School

A fun learning environment which offers a beginner curriculum (alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, etc.). Kids will also play outside, eat lunch, and take a nap.

 Coastal Shotokan Karate

 Authentic, traditional martial arts instruction. Emphasis is on developing a strong lower body and utilizing foot and hand techniques in about equal portions. Open to new students.

Youth Coach Pitch Baseball
