About the LeaP Into Fitness Court
The Greater Pensacola Chamber Foundation's Leadership Pensacola (LeaP) Class of 2018 chose to pursue LeaP into Fitness, a project in partnership with the City of Pensacola and the National Fitness Campaign (NFC), that will provide fitness courts to the Pensacola area as their class project.
The NFC Fitness Courts™ offer a free, outdoor, bodyweight fitness program designed for all levels. The first of three courts was opened to the community on April 27, 2018 at the Vince J. Whibbs Sr. Community Maritime Park. Two additional courts will be installed at Bayview Park and Legion Field in the near future.
The construction of the court was made possible through sponsorships and donations. This project will enhance local public spaces, encourage activity, and promote community wellness throughout Pensacola.

The LeaP Into Fitness Court is designed for adult bodies and therefore users must be 14 years and older. Please do not allow your child to run, climb, jump, hang, or swing on the fitness equipment. As a personal trainer, can I use the Fitness Court to conduct my classes or workout with clients?
We welcome personal trainers because they have the specific skills and knowledge to guide participants in using the equipment. However, you must be registered with our department and show proof of liability insurance in order to conduct any commercial business on City property. Vendor fees may also apply. Please contact us at 850-436-5671 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can my gym or club schedule a special event at the Fitness Court?
Yes, you can schedule a fitness-related special event at the Fitness Court as long as it is permitted with the Special Events Permitting office no later than 10 days prior to the event. Please contact the Special Events Permitting office by calling 850-436-5671 or email email@example.com.
When will more Fitness Courts be built in the Pensacola community?
Currently we have plans to install two additional courts, one at Bayview Park and one at Legion Field. Look for announcements coming soon about when construction will begin.
