The Friends of the Pensacola Public Library is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization founded in 1973, whose primary purpose is to support the mission of the Library and to help enhance its services to the community.
Our main sources of income are our book sales held at the Wright Place (First United Methodist Church), 6 E. Wright Street, and membership dues. The next 2010 book sale will be held on September 24th, 25th and 26th. The Friends collect books for these sales all year long. Anyone wishing to donate books for the book sales can drop them off in the Pensacola Public Library's garage during regular operating hours. Book sale volunteers work in the garage most Thursdays from 9 am to 12 pm, if assistance is needed with your donation.

Membership
Join the Friends of the Pensacola Public Library and help us fund programs and special purchases for our libraries. Friends' contributions have helped to purchase books, equipment and furniture for the Library, fund the summer reading program and other special events for both children and adults.
