Historic Pensacola Village

Historic Pensacola Village and the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum are managed by West Florida Historic Preservation Incorporated, a non-profit institution, community service and direct support organization of the University of West Florida. The mission of WFHPI is to function as a public and educational institution for the enrichment and benefit of the community. We are a multifunctional organization, operating an archive, research, preservation, and museum facility. The preservation and exhibition of West Florida material culture is central to our operation. Our mission is completed by the successful presentation of our collections and resources through an accurate historical and humanistic context within our exhibits, house museums, and programming.

Historic Pensacola Village consists of twenty properties in the Pensacola National Register Historic District. Ten of these properties are interpreted facilities that are open to the public. The T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum, originally the 1908 City Hall building, is a virtual treasure trove of historic artifacts, Americana, and West Florida history. The T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Museum houses two floors of permanent and traveling exhibits and our children’s hands-on exhibit, the Discovery Gallery, located on the third floor. Plan an exciting trip to historic downtown Pensacola today!
